AANS Annual Scientific
Meeting Policies

Only persons registered for the meeting will be admitted into the Exhibit Hall and educational sessions. Badges must be worn at all times to gain admittance to all official AANS functions. Counterfeiting, copying or sharing badges or using a guest badge when not eligible to do so is expressly prohibited and may result in removal from the meeting.

All refunds will be processed following the 2024 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting. Refunds for meeting registrations and all ticketed events will be made in accordance with the following schedule:

  • Cancellations received on or before April 10, 2024, will receive a full refund less a $50 service fee.
  • Cancellations received between April 11, 2024, and April 24, 2024, will receive a full refund less a $100 service fee.
  • No refunds will be granted if received on or after April 25, 2024.
  • Neurosurgery Research & Education Foundation or NeurosurgeryPAC donations made during the registration process will not be refunded if a registration is canceled.

Children under the age of 18 are permitted in the Exhibit Hall during show hours; however, they will not be permitted to attend educational sessions. When in the Exhibit Hall, children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and wear their meeting badge at all times.

Exhibit Hall Set-Up: Children under the age of 18 are not allowed in the Exhibit Hall during set-up and dismantling times.

The guest rate is $350 and allows access to the non-ticketed scientific sessions and the Opening Reception.

Exhibitors will have devices to manually scan badges to receive your contact information at your discretion.

Your registration fee will be based on your membership status as of February 1, 2024. Your AANS membership must be in good standing to receive the member rate; review your 2024 membership status to ensure you are eligible for the member discount through myAANS. If you are currently not a member of the AANS, it takes approximately eight weeks to become a member, depending on the membership category for which you are applying. During the registration process, you will be required to upload a credential to verify your registration category. The credential requirement for each registration type is listed below.

 

Non-Member Neurosurgical Team * Physician assistants and nurse practitioners must provide a copy of their medical
credentials.* Office staff and surgical technicians qualify for this category. A letter on practice
letterhead noting the registrant’s role within the practice is required.
Non-Member Resident/Fellow All non-member residents and fellows currently enrolled in an ACGME-accredited training
program and the Residency Review Committee for Neurosurgery are required to provide a letter of
recommendation from the training program director.
Non-Member Medical Student * All non-member medical students are required to provide a copy of their medical school acceptance
letter or current school ID.

The AANS plans to take photographs at the 2024 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting and reproduce them in various AANS educational, news or promotional materials in print, electronic or other media, including the AANS website. By participating in the 2024 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting, you grant the AANS the right to use your images for such purposes. All postings become the property of the AANS. Postings may be displayed, distributed or used by the AANS for any purpose.

By attending the 2024 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting, attendees consent to the AANS retaining personal contact information, including names and email addresses. The AANS may use your personal contact information to send future emails and other communications.
